Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field plus 10+ years of experience, or 7+ years with a master's degree.
• Experience in software architecture, system design, and scalable software solutions bridging enterprise-level backend systems with modern client applications.
• In-depth knowledge of native mobile development (Android Kotlin/Java, background services, OS internals, Camera/Media APIs) and multi-platform/web frameworks (React Native).
• Strong knowledge of applied computer vision, edge AI, and ML integration (image preprocessing, OCR, barcode decoding, TensorFlow Lite).
• Proficiency in modern software development methodologies and experience with GenAI/AI-assisted tools in SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Architects and oversees development of software solutions for complex projects, targeting multi-platform apps and robust backend integrations.
• Leads technology roadmap, data capture, mobile architecture, and edge AI processing.
• Mentors senior engineers and drives architectural excellence and knowledge sharing.
• Explores GenAI SDKs, OCR, on-device ML, and keeps solutions at industry-leading standards.
• Represents Zebra as a thought leader on projects and developer blueprints.
