Job summary

Scale AI seeks a Software Engineer, Frontier AI Infrastructure, to own the model inference layer and debug AI tools within the Public Sector Engineering team. You will design secure scalable backend systems, re-architect for government environments, and lead technical discussions with cloud vendors and customers to ensure mission success.

You will collaborate with Product to implement integration tests, address latency and pricing metrics, and contribute to the platform roadmap for Scale AI's

Qualifications

• Active secret clearance with willingness to upgrade to TS/SCI with CI Poly
• Experience designing secure backend systems for cloud-native AI infrastructure
• Familiarity with air-gapped and isolated environments a plus

Responsibilities

• Design secure scalable backend systems for Public Sector customers
• Own services and define long-term health goals
• Architect stack for compliant environments with swappable components
• Collaborate with Product to build integration tests and prevent upstream failures
• Engage with customers and stakeholders to deliver solutions
