Job summary

Scale AI is hiring a Frontier Agent Engineer to work directly with strategic enterprise customers to architect, integrate, deploy, and operate production AI systems. You will blend software engineering, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and frontier AI to transform cutting-edge models into reliable enterprise software.

You will design production agent architectures, deploy AI into mission-critical workflows, and help shape engineering best practices for the next generation of enterprise

Qualifications

• Strong Python programming skills with production software experience.
• Experience building or deploying AI-powered applications using modern LLM APIs or agent frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern production infra.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with enterprise engineering teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills navigating ambiguous requirements.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy production AI systems in complex enterprise environments.
• Design scalable agent architectures integrating LLMs, memory, tools, and data.
• Lead architecture discussions across distributed systems and AI infrastructure.
• Collaborate with customers and Scale teams to deploy AI into workflows.
• Document reusable patterns and best practices for production AI.
