Scale AI is shaping the future of enterprise AI with frontier agents deployed across diverse workflows. You will design, evaluate, and deploy intelligent systems that combine frontier models with structured knowledge, retrieval, and traditional ML, working directly with enterprise customers.

You will build production-grade AI systems, ensure reliability, and experiment across models and prompts, translating research into scalable solutions with measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering, ML, or applied AI experience.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Experience building production AI systems using LLMs.
• Experience with modern AI tooling (OpenAI, Claude, MCP), agent frameworks, vector databases, or retrieval systems.
• Strong understanding of ML fundamentals and modern language models.
• Experience designing or evaluating AI systems using quantitative metrics.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy production frontier AI agents across enterprise workflows.
• Build production AI systems with strong reliability, observability, and cost controls.
• Collaborate directly with enterprise customers to translate problems into AI architectures.
• Run experiments, ablations, and evaluations to measure impact.
• Advance guardrails, retrieval, memory, and knowledge representations for scalable production use.
