Job summary

Epic Games is offering a Frontend Programmer Intern position on the Social Web team, building the interfaces players use to connect with others across Epic's ecosystem such as Fortnite, Rocket League, and Fall Guys.

As an intern, you will ship real features in production web development, mentored through the full lifecycle from design to deployment, using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript, and collaborating with senior engineers to craft UI components and user flows for the social overlay

Qualifications

Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Coursework or project experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
Familiarity with React or another modern front-end framework.
A strong interest in distributed systems.

Responsibilities

Build and ship features using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript, working directly in our production codebase.
Partner with senior engineers to design and implement UI components and user flows for the social overlay experience.
Debug issues and contribute fixes across the front end, with guidance from your team.
Participate in code reviews, both giving and receiving feedback, to build strong engineering habits.
Take ownership of a well-scoped project or feature over the course of your internship, from planning through to shipping.
