Job summary

Epic Games is seeking an Engine Programmer Intern to join the Fortnite Online team for the 2027 season. You’ll support a variety of systems and features for our Engine and Fortnite, working on online gameplay technology and tools.

If it’s an online game feature, we touch it. This internship offers a meaningful experience with high expectations for performance and room to grow under experienced mentors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related discipline.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming with C++.
• Knowledge of networking, REST, and back-end services.
• Interest in online multiplayer games and games as a service.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain shared online gameplay technology for Fortnite Online.
• Contribute to online systems and tools used by Unreal Engine and Fortnite.
• Develop solutions from concept to shipped code with performance in mind.
