For our client, we are seeking a Frontend Engineer - Top Secret to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space. This role will focus on building sophisticated frontend experiences that support real-time data analysis, visualization, and geospatial workflows. You will help shape the architecture of complex web applications, creating responsive interfaces that turn large, data-rich inputs into clear and usable tools. The position also involves close collaboration with backend engineers to integrate secure services and deliver high-performance applications for demanding operational environments.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $103,500 – $181,100 annually

Responsibilities

• Shape the frontend architecture of complex applications using React and TypeScript
• Build intuitive, reusable UI components for real-time data analysis and visualization
• Develop high-performance 2D and 3D mapping tools using OpenLayers or CesiumJS
• Create interfaces for rendering large geospatial datasets and real-time feeds
• Optimize application performance by resolving rendering and network inefficiencies
• Support data-intensive workflows with asynchronous programming and efficient data processing
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate secure APIs and services

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship and an active Top Secret Clearance are required
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus 5+ years of software engineering experience, particularly in React
• Significant experience with React and TypeScript for frontend applications
• Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript (ES6+) and asynchronous programming
• Experience with geospatial data and mapping technologies such as GeoJSON, OpenLayers, or CesiumJS
• Proficient in diagnosing and improving browser performance
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest or Cypress
