Job summary

Medley Learning is building AI-powered classroom supports via a Chrome extension that overlays onto reading materials. You will focus on front-end work with React and TypeScript, shaping data-driven UI and contributing to a fast, accessible product that scales across classrooms.

You’ll work directly with the Head of Engineering on a small, senior team, owning features from day one and helping ensure privacy, security, and reliability as we grow with school partners.

Qualifications

• Strong front-end engineering experience with production React/TypeScript apps.
• Ability to reason about data models and system design.
• Experience collaborating on UI/UX and design decisions.

Responsibilities

• Build the front end: ship features in React/TypeScript Chrome extension and web apps, focusing on performance and accessibility.
• Shape the user experience through UI/UX collaboration, wireframes, and polished interactions.
• Think in systems: contribute to data models and APIs (Node.js, MongoDB) and data flow with privacy in mind.
• Expand product coverage to more websites and platforms like Google Workspace and PDFs.
• Support AI product quality by refining interfaces and data for AI-generated scaffolds.
• Build for trust by contributing to privacy, security, and reliability as we scale.
• Operate with ownership: take initiative and shape engineering culture on a small, fast-moving team.
