Job summary

Medley Learning is seeking a frontend engineer to join a small, senior team building a fast, accessible Chrome extension that overlays on existing student materials. You will own frontend features end-to-end, focusing on React/TypeScript, performance, and WCAG accessibility while collaborating on UI/UX and data modeling decisions.

You’ll work with a Head of Engineering to ship UI that scales across classrooms and platforms, contributing to privacy and reliability as Medley grows with school

Qualifications

• You have built and shipped production front ends with React/TypeScript.
• You think in systems, considering data modeling and data flow beyond UI.
• You collaborate on design decisions and understand UI/UX impact.

Responsibilities

• Build the front end of Medley's Chrome extension and web apps with a focus on performance and accessibility.
• Shape the user experience through wireframes, interactions, and visual polish.
• Think in systems about data models and APIs (Node.js, MongoDB) and data flow.
• Expand product coverage to more websites and platforms used by teachers and students.
• Support AI product quality by integrating interfaces and data for evaluation and improvement.
• Build for privacy, security, and reliability as we scale with school partners.
• Operate with ownership and contribute to engineering culture on a small, fast-moving team.
