Role Description: Front-End Engineer (AI Products)

We're hiring a Front-End Engineer passionate about building engaging and intuitive user experiences for AI-driven applications. You'll lead front-end development for client projects and internal incubations, crafting interfaces that make complex AI functionalities simple and delightful for users.

This role suits someone who combines strong front-end skills, curiosity about AI technologies (particularly LLMs), and collaboration abilities. Ideal candidates will be entrepreneurial, potentially wanting to lead their own startups someday.

Your Experience

• Front-End Expertise : 5+ years of professional experience building responsive, scalable web applications. Deep knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular).
• Design & UX : Ability to translate complex functionalities into clean, intuitive interfaces. You have an eye for aesthetics and a passion for exceptional UX.
• Interest in AI : Experience integrating APIs, ideally involving AI/ML models. You're excited about working closely with backend engineers to deliver seamless AI experiences or stepping up to do some of the backend work yourself.
• Collaborative Mindset : Great at working with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and clients. You communicate clearly and build lasting relationships.

What You’ll Do

• Develop Engaging Interfaces : Build responsive, performant web interfaces for AI products, ensuring intuitive user experiences.
• Collaborate Across Teams : Work closely with backend and AI engineers to integrate AI capabilities into front-end designs.
• Rapid Prototyping : Quickly iterate on UI prototypes, gather feedback, and refine designs into robust, production-ready solutions.
• Stay Ahead : Regularly explore and experiment with new front-end frameworks, tools, and emerging AI integration techniques.
• Share Knowledge : Document your insights, share findings within the team, and contribute to content shared with Casper’s broader audience.

Next, you hop into a client call, discussing how the latest design prototype enhances user interaction with the AI-powered product.

Throughout the day, you transform designs into elegant code, crafting intuitive interfaces that simplify complex AI interactions. Whether integrating cutting-edge APIs or refining UI/UX details, you’re continuously pushing the boundaries of what's possible. You keep a pulse on emerging front-end trends, experimenting with new technologies like Next.js or Tailwind CSS.

As your day wraps up, you outline tasks for the upcoming sprint, driven by user feedback and innovative ideas. Your days blend focused coding, creative problem-solving, and collaborative interactions—exactly the environment you thrive in.
