Job description

Responsibilities

Grind and cut tubes for front pump seal parts per customer specifications with a cellular manufacturing operation.

• Operator processes rubber tubes by procuring tubes from staging area, setting up grinding machines, selecting proper size mandrels, and mounts of grinders.
• Set up grinders
• Operates multiple grinding machines process tubes to specific dimensions.
• Removes mandrels from grinders, dismounts tubes from mandrels at completion of operations.
• Visually inspects tubes per standards.
• Prepares tubes for cutting operation by mounting on proper mandrels, paint/strip tubes as required, setting up chisel cutters, placing tubes in cutters and processing to specific dimensions.
• Utilize SPC techniques as part of the QAS system.
• Operator performs dimensional checks on the shadow graph.
• Troubleshoots, adjusts equipment, cleans and maintains equipment.
