Job summary

Parker Hannifin Corporation is hiring for a manufacturing operator to grind and cut tubes for front pump seal parts. You will set up grinders, select mandrels, run multiple machines, and ensure tubes meet dimensional specs.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to pass background checks, and strong attendance. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and a pension plan. Shift is 6am–2pm, Monday–Friday with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Grind and cut tubes for front pump seal parts per specifications.
• Set up grinders and select proper mandrels and mounts.
• Operate multiple grinding machines to achieve specified dimensions.
• Remove mandrels and finish tubes post-operation.
• Visually inspect tubes per standards.
• Prepare tubes for cutting, including mounting, painting/stripping, and cutter setup.
• Apply SPC techniques within QAS framework.
• Perform dimensional checks on shadow graph.
• Troubleshoot, adjust, clean and maintain equipment.

Job description

Responsibilities

Grind and cut tubes for front pump seal parts per customer specifications with a cellular manufacturing operation.

• Operator processes rubber tubes by procuring tubes from staging area, setting up grinding machines, selecting proper size mandrels, and mounts of grinders.
• Set up grinders
• Operates multiple grinding machines process tubes to specific dimensions.
• Removes mandrels from grinders, dismounts tubes from mandrels at completion of operations
• Visually inspects tubes per standards
• Prepares tubes for cutting operation by mounting on proper mandrels, paint/strip tubes as required, setting up chisel cutters, placing tubes in cutters and processing to specific dimensions
• Utilize SPC techniques as part of the QAS system
• Operator performs dimensional checks on the shadow graph
• Troubleshoots, adjusts equipment, cleans and maintains equipment

Qualifications

Must be able to successfully pass a background and drug screening as a condition of employment

Be able to demonstrate good attendance history

Computer skills

High school diploma or equivalent working experience
