Responsibilities

• Grind and cut tubes for front pump seal parts per customer specifications with a cellular manufacturing operation.
• Set up grinders and procure tubes from staging area, select proper size mandrels, and mount grinders.
• Operate multiple grinding machines to process tubes to specific dimensions and inspect visually.
• Remove mandrels, dismount tubes at completion of operations, and prepare tubes for cutting.
• Perform dimensional checks and utilize shadow graph for quality measurements.
• Troubleshoot, adjust, clean and maintain equipment as needed.
• Utilize SPC techniques as part of the QAS system.
