Job summary

Creekstone Farms Premium Beef in Arkansas City, KS is seeking a Front Pack Off Lead to guide daily activities in the Front Pack area of the Fabrication department. You will model Creekstone Proud culture through attitude and actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

You will read production schedules, ensure safety and proper PPE, coach team members, and cover for absenteeism as needed while maintaining quality and pace on the line.

Qualifications

• Able to read production schedule to maintain 100% accuracy.
• Meat Industry experience required
• Knowledge of how Plate Line is connected to the whole beef production process
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to present ideas, concepts, issues, concerns, and questions in a well thought out, positive, and professional manner
• Ability to foster an atmosphere of teamwork and respect
• Functional with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Basic math skills are necessary
• Clear communication skills verbally and in written form
• Ability to coach and develop others into becoming better employees
• Leadership skills such as but not limited to conflict resolution, encouraging others and inspiring good work
• Ability to take direction humbly and collaborate to define and pursue team goals
• A positive outlook and attitude in taking initiative and problem solving, unprompted

Responsibilities

• Ensure all workers have proper work attire, safety equipment, and training partner if required at the beginning of the shift.
• Develop and promote positive working relationships with all team members
• Walk the area several times each hour ensuring the job functions are completed properly in each area and at the proper speed and quality levels.
• Relieve workers needing to leave the line at unscheduled times.
• Immediately inform the Supervisor of all unscheduled line stops due to problems in the area.
• Responsible for covering during absenteeism for hourly production and supervisor.
• Provide service to and enhance the learning experience of new team members
• Additional duties as assigned.
