This is a hands-on, desk-facing technology role requiring collaboration with traders, developers, and vendor support to implement root-cause fixes and prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of front office application or production support in banking or trading.
• Strong hands-on ION experience supporting fixed income desks.
• Solid understanding of fixed income lifecycle from quote to booking.
• SQL and Unix/Linux troubleshooting skills.
• FIX connectivity troubleshooting experience.
• Able to communicate with traders when issues arise.
• Onsite in Midtown four days a week.

The Opportunity

The U.S. securities arm of a global bank is hiring a Senior Front Office Support Analyst for its Front Office Solutions technology group. You’ll sit directly with the fixed income trading desks and own production support for the ION platform they trade on every day: pricing, RFQ and order flow, market connectivity, and trade booking.

This is a hands-on technology role, not an operations, trade support, or middle office seat. When a quote stops streaming, an RFQ gets missed, or a gateway drops, you’re the person the desk calls. You’ll diagnose it across ION, the server, and the connection, fix it during live trading, and then make sure it doesn’t happen again.

What You’ll Do

• Provide front office production support for the fixed income desks across the ION trading stack

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of front office application or production support at a bank, broker-dealer, or exchange
• Strong hands-on ION experience supporting fixed income trading (rates, credit, or both)
• Solid understanding of the fixed income trade lifecycle, from quote to booking
• Working knowledge of SQL and Unix/Linux for troubleshooting
• FIX connectivity troubleshooting experience
• Calm under pressure and able to talk directly to traders when something is broken
• Able to work onsite in Midtown four days a week

Preferred Experience

• ION MMI/Marketview, gateways, or PXE pricing
• Shell scripting or Python for automation and monitoring
• Tradeweb, Bloomberg, MarketAxess, or BrokerTec connectivity
• Bloomberg TOMS or another fixed income OMS
• Fixed income regulatory reporting (TRACE)
