Job summary

Chico's is seeking a Front Office Assistant Manager to partner with the Front Office Manager and Director of Front Office to oversee daily operations and deliver exceptional guest experiences from arrival to departure.

This working leadership role coaches employees, resolves issues, and ensures operational excellence while promoting Chico culture and values. Training and development are core to this position, with on-going coaching and performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Passion for creating exceptional guest experiences.
• Knowledge of front office and/or housekeeping operations in a hotel setting.
• Proven experience as an effective manager.
• Core Customer Service skills and training.
• Knowledge of Tech/Software platforms used in daily work.
• Ability to multi-task and work with high detail.
• Ability to work at computer station for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Upholds Chico’s Mission, guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Leads Front Office operations in the absence of the Director/Manager.
• Handles escalated guest or employee issues as needed.
• Acts as MOD as needed and supports scheduling and onboarding.
• Coaches, mentors and develops Front Office team members.
• Addresses conflicts privately with proper documentation.
• Monitors staff development and job satisfaction.
• Leads department training on duties and tasks.
• Answers calls for reservations and guest requests.
• Greet guests, assign rooms, issue keys, and process payments.
• Assist guests with concierge services and local information.
• Maintain accurate cash drawers and daily accounting procedures.
• Perform opening/closing duties and shift coverage.
• Ensure great service and uphold dress code standards.
• Participate in Passport program and departmental trainings.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in work area.
• Host department huddles for training and safety.
