Job summary

Columbia Hospitality’s Hotel McCall is seeking a Part Time Front Desk Agent to manage check-in and check-out and support guest services with a smile. You will handle room credits, issue resolution, and guest requests, while maintaining proficiency with the property management system and cash handling.

This role offers a fast-paced, guest-focused environment and opportunities for growth across our locations.

Qualifications

  • Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in cash handling & computerized Point of Sale system preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Handle check-in and checkout according to hotel procedures.
  • Be proficient with the property management system.
  • Issue rooms, keys, and process guest credits and services at arrival and departure.
  • Resolve guest issues with professionalism and discretion; escalate as needed.
  • Assist with reservations and daily tasking to support front desk operations.

What Success Looks Like
Your Impact
  • Possesses a working knowledge of the front desk, efficiently handling the check-in and checkout processes according to hotel procedures and standards.
  • Be knowledgeable and proficient with the property management system.
  • Establishes appropriate credit at time of guest check-in; issues room keys and familiarizes guests with the services and areas of the property.
  • Manages guest issues effectively, keeping in mind both the guest’s needs and business objectives.
  • Use discretion and professionalism in resolving guest conflicts and use good judgment to consult with management if assistance or follow-up is needed.
  • Conduct adequate follow-up with both guest and fellow team members.
  • Makes restaurant reservations on behalf of the guest.
  • Ability to complete the daily checklist within the time given and pass along information to other team members.
What You Bring
  • Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in cash handling & computerized Point of Sale system preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
