Northbound Executive Search is seeking an experienced Recruiter to join its Talent Acquisition team with a primary focus on front office roles within a leading global investment firm in New York. You will serve as a strategic recruiting partner to investment leaders, translating complex hiring needs into search strategies and building pipelines across quantitative and trading talent.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of recruiting experience within a hedge fund or hedge fund clients.
• Experience recruiting in quantitative research, quantitative development, trading, investment, or closely related technical disciplines.
• Experience conducting talent mapping and market-mapping in competitive talent markets.
• Ability to research and map competitor organizations and translate intelligence into recruiting strategies.
• Strong understanding of the quantitative and systematic investment talent landscape.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruiting across quantitative, trading, and investment-related functions, from search strategy through offer and close.
• Partner with Portfolio Managers and senior stakeholders to understand objectives and talent requirements.
• Lead proactive talent mapping initiatives and build pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
• Develop market maps and pipelines using research and market intelligence to show competitor talent pools.
• Develop sourcing strategies to identify exceptional talent, including passive candidates.
• Cultivate relationships with high-caliber passive candidates and understand candidate backgrounds.
• Assess candidates on experience, technical fit, motivation, judgment, and long-term potential.
• Advise hiring managers on talent availability, compensation dynamics, and market trends.
• Manage complex interview processes with organization and discretion.
• Collaborate on offer strategy and candidate closing.
• Maintain accurate recruiting data to inform broader talent strategies.
