Job summary

Northbound Executive Search is seeking an experienced Recruiter to join its Talent Acquisition team, focusing on front office roles within a leading global hedge fund client. You will partner with investment leaders, map talent, and translate hiring needs into search strategies.

You will develop market maps, build pipelines, and manage full-cycle searches across quantitative and trading functions, while maintaining discretion and strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of recruiting experience within hedge funds.
• Experience recruiting in quantitative research, trading or related technical disciplines.
• Experience conducting talent mapping in competitive or specialized markets.
• Ability to research and map competitor firms and translate intelligence into recruiting strategies.
• Strong understanding of the quantitative and systematic investment talent landscape.
• Proven ability to engage passive talent and build relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent judgment, discretion, and communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruiting across quantitative, trading, and investment-related functions from strategy to close.
• Partner with Portfolio Managers and senior stakeholders to align hiring with investment objectives.
• Lead proactive talent mapping initiatives and develop detailed market maps and pipelines.
• Develop sourcing strategies to identify exceptional talent and cultivate passive candidates.
• Assess candidates for experience, technical fit, motivations, and long-term potential.
• Advise hiring managers on talent availability, compensation dynamics, and market trends.
• Manage complex interview processes with organization and discretion.
• Collaborate on offer strategy and candidate closing.
• Maintain disciplined recruiting data and inform broader talent strategies.
