Midwest Heart & Vascular Specialists in Independence, MO, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Medical Office Specialist to join our front desk team. This full-time role (Monday–Friday, days) has no nights, no weekends, and no holidays, and focuses on patient relations, check-in/check-out, scheduling, and insurance verification.

You will also manage medical records, assist with co-pays, and balance the day in the computer. One year of medical-office experience and EHR familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
• Experience using an EHR system is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all front office functions including patient relations, check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, and answering phones.
• Manage filing and retrieving medical records and patient information.
• Assist with collecting and recording co-pays (cash and/or charge) including balancing the day in the computer.
