Job summary

Spruce Peak, a Hyatt property in Stowe, Vermont, is hiring an Assistant Front Office Manager to oversee daily Front Office operations, Concierge, Telecommunications, and Bell Valet in the absence of the Front Office Manager. You will lead pre-shift meetings, coordinate with Housekeeping and Engineering, and drive guest service excellence while upholding Hyatt standards.

Qualifications

• Hospitality or guest service background required.
• Hospitality management degree or diploma asset.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory or management experience.
• Strong managerial skills and guest service track record.
• Proficient in Word, Excel; familiarity with Property Manager.
• Knowledge of SMS, ADP and Hyatt Rewards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support daily Front Office operations and ensure seamless functioning in the absence of the Front Office Manager.
• Promote cross-departmental communication and collaboration through regular face-to-face interaction.
• Inspire creativity, recognize contributions, and encourage innovation among team members.
• Lead daily pre-shift meetings to align high-impact guest service teams and ensure smooth guest experiences.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping and Engineering to prepare rooms for check-in and resolve guest-related maintenance issues efficiently.
• Maintain expert knowledge of hotel services, room types, rates, promotions, occupancy, and group activities to address guest inquiries.
• Manage Front Office as a profitable unit and implement upselling strategies to maximize room revenue.
• Ensure end-of-shift procedures and checklists are completed accurately by Front Desk and Guest Services staff.
• Safeguard guest confidentiality and uphold data protection protocols.
