Job summary

Grand Hyatt Washington, located in downtown Washington, D.C., is seeking a Front Office Control Clerk to optimize room inventory and support guest services. You will work with Front Office Agents to ensure smooth check-ins, accurate room blocks, and elevated guest experiences.

The role requires flexibility to cover shifts between 7:00am and 11:30pm, including weekends and holidays, with an hourly rate of $22.50 rising to $23.00 after six months.

Qualifications

• Refined verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience and thorough understanding of hotel Front Office operations preferred.
• Availability to work any day of the week during mornings, afternoons, or evenings.

Control Clerks are primarily responsible for room inventory to maximize selling opportunities at the front desk. This includes assigning room blocks for groups and guest preferences. Front Office Agents rely on the Control Clerk's ability to manage the inventory and analyze reports. This role has a direct impact on guest fulfillment with room accommodations. Control Clerks must also assist in the guest registration process and communication of hotel services and promotions. The Front Office Control Clerk is the perfect opportunity for a seasoned Front Office Agent looking to advance their career into management. We are looking for someone with the flexibility to work any time between 7:00am - 11:30pm, any day of the week including weekends and holidays.

The hourly rate for this position is $22.50, increasing to $23.00 after six months.
