Job summary

Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace in Ramsey, NJ seeks a Bookkeeper to join our Front Office Team. The ideal candidate will manage A/P and A/R, process invoices, and maintain accurate financial records at the store level.

Responsibilities include daily cash handling, payroll data entry, and deposit preparations, with availability for early morning shifts including weekends. Proficiency in MS Office and detail-oriented problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior bookkeeping experience is a plus.
• Detail oriented, problem solver with excellent time management and a positive attitude.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite and related software.

Responsibilities

• Observe store rules and policies.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Enter schedules into the customized system.
• Perform daily cash counts.
• Receive, break down and deliver funds by armored carrier.
• Gather payroll information and update the system.
• Handle bookkeeping opening/closing procedures.
• Ensure daily cash packages are sent to the office.
• Count currency, change, and card receipts against prints for accuracy.
• Prepare deposit slips.
• Monitor discrepancies or errors.
• Reconcile petty cash and gas receipts.
• Other duties as assigned.
