Job summary

Planned Parenthood Pasadena and San Gabriel Valley (PPPSGV) is seeking a Front Office Specialist Float to travel among five health centers including Alhambra, Baldwin Park, Glendora, Highland Park, and Pasadena. You will register patients, collect demographics, determine fee categories, and ensure correct payer information for optimal reimbursement.

The role requires customer service experience, insurance knowledge, and strong multitasking in a fast-paced health clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Insurance knowledge and charge entry experience preferred.
• 1-2 years of customer service experience in health care or related setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual abilities may be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Register/check-in patients and collect demographic information.
• Assess fee category for sliding fee scale and identify insurance provider.
• Input insurance and third-party payer information for proper reimbursement.
• Schedule appointments and maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
• Provide training and cross-training to front office staff as needed.
• Assist billing and resolve basic billing questions with the billing department.
