Job description

Job Title: Clinic Customer Service Representative

Provides the initial contact point for all clinic customers, including patients, referring offices, physicians, and providers. Serves as the first impression for many customers and plays a vital role in maintaining the organization's customer service reputation.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Registering patients with complete demographic, insurance, and clinical information to ensure accurate records and timely billing.
  2. Providing patients with accurate payment information and collecting co-payments at the point of service.
  3. Handling multiple incoming phone calls and face-to-face interactions with professionalism and integrity, including triaging and troubleshooting.
  4. Communicating pertinent visit information to patients, such as arrival times and preparation instructions for clinic visits, diagnostic testing, or procedures.
  5. Assisting clinical staff as needed and performing clerical duties to facilitate timely patient care.
  6. Focusing on patient needs and the efficient use of hospital resources.
Minimum Education
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Work Experience
  • Two years of secretarial experience or medical office training, including at least one year of patient or customer service experience.
  • Experience using a computerized health information system.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Moderate knowledge of medical terminology.
Compensation

Pay range: $16.60 - $24.65
