Chester Community Charter School is seeking a Front Office Aide to support front office staff and ensure smooth communication, workflow, parent engagement and student needs throughout the school day.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and PA criminal background clearances. The candidate will assist with clerical tasks, answer phones, file documents and interact professionally with students and staff in a busy school environment.

Job Summary: The Front Office Aide assists the front office staff to in all areas where assistance may be generally needed in order to ensure the proper flow of communication, work flow, parent engagement, teacher needs and student needs, and to otherwise ensure that the front office is working at maximum capacity.

Essential Functions
  • Provides support to the office secretaries
  • Answers the telephone in a professional and courteous manner when needed
  • Assists with filing papers, copying documents, faxes documents, and otherwise performs routine office tasks
  • Effectively communicates with students and staff
  • Arrives on time and to stays for the duration of the school day
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma, preferred or GED
  • Previous work in an office setting is preferred
  • Pennsylvania Criminal Record Check Clearance
  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
  • FBI Criminal Background Clearance
Demonstrated Knowledge of
  • Basic office protocols
  • Use of a photocopier, fax machine, telephone and other office equipment
  • How to file alphabetically and ensure that papers are properly placed in files in accordance with office procedures
Demonstrated Ability to
  • Communicate effectively with students and staff
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, administrators, supportive staff, parents and students
  • Represent one’s self and CCCS in a positive and professional manner consistent with a personal commitment to fulfilling the school’s mission statement and core values while displaying service and involvement, creativity and innovation, dignity and respect, personal and professional integrity, and a duty to safeguard sensitive or confidential information from intentional or unintentional disclosure
  • Interact and work cooperatively with students, parents, staff and the CCCS community in a timely and courteous manner
  • Abide by all Federal and State laws, Board policies and CCCS regulations
