Job summary

Loews Chicago Hotel is seeking a Front Office Agent who will be the face of our property, greeting guests with warmth and professionalism from check-in to check-out. You will balance hospitality with accuracy, helping create memorable stays in a fast-paced environment near Navy Pier and the Magnificent Mile.

This role requires standing for long periods, weekend/evening availability, and familiarity with guest payments.

Qualifications

  • Guest service experience in hospitality preferred.
  • Experience with Property Management System, Opera preferred.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and register guests with warmth and professionalism.
  • Assign rooms meeting guest preferences and special requests.
  • Obtain and verify credit and payment information in accordance with hotel policies.
  • Promote hotel services, amenities and local attractions.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain knowledge of upcoming events, group bookings and banquet orders.
  • Perform check-out procedures and handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the Front Desk and lobby area.
  • Handle emergencies with professionalism, prioritizing guest and team member safety.
  • Regular attendance in conformance with standards.
  • May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.
  • Attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications Include:
  • Minimum of one (1) year guest service experience in hotel hospitality preferred.
  • Experience with previous Property Management System, preferred Opera System.

The wage for this position is $25.62.
