Cafe Lami in Cary, NC is hiring Front of the House Staff for full-time and part-time roles. You will take orders, handle payments, prepare beverages, and ensure a welcoming, efficient guest experience in a fast-paced café setting. Candidates should have excellent customer service, basic cash handling, and familiarity with coffee prep.

Prior hospitality is a plus, but not required. Training provided to uphold our brand standards and quality service.

Description

The Front of House Staff is responsible for providing excellent customer service, ensuring a welcoming environment, and supporting day-to-day café operations. This role involves taking orders, preparing beverages, handling cash, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace to ensure customer satisfaction and uphold brand standards.

Duties and Responsibilites:

• Provide a warm, friendly, and professional experience for every guest.
• Address customer inquiries and complaints efficiently and with a positive attitude.
• Accurately take and process customer orders.
• Handle cash and card transactions responsibly, ensuring accurate accounting of sales.

Beverage & Food Preparation

• Prepare beverages according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Assist with food presentation and packaging, ensuring it meets quality standards.

Maintenance of Cleanliness

• Keep the front-of-house area, including the counter, tables, and floor, clean and organized.
• Ensure that all equipment is maintained and sanitized in compliance with food safety regulations.

Inventory & Stock Management

• Monitor stock levels of consumables (cups, napkins, etc.) and report shortages.
  Assist with restocking and inventory organization as needed.

Upselling & Promoting Products

• Offer suggestions and recommend signature menu items or seasonal promotions to enhance the customer experience.
• Maintain knowledge of all products to confidently answer customer questions.

Adherence to Brand Standards

• Follow the café’s protocols and standards to maintain the brand’s quality and image.
• Contribute to an atmosphere that aligns with the bakery's welcoming and high-quality brand.
