Job summary

TJ Maxx at The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention Associate in Hamden, CT. You will deter theft, support store teams, and help ensure a safe shopping environment by maintaining a visible presence and wearing a body worn camera.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, directing to assistance, reporting suspicious activity to LP or management, and documenting incidents in AIIM Case Management. Prior retail/security experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• 0-2 years retail or security experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a proper and professional stance at the front of the store.
• Act as a visual deterrent to prevent potential loss/dishonesty.
• Review and understand the Store Emergency Response Guide.
• Wear a complete Company approved uniform including a Body Worn Camera.
• Greet customers, demonstrate courtesy and respect.
• Refer customers to store management or customer service via Company radio.
• Observe and report suspicious behavior or incidents to LP or store management.
• Perform a closing safety sweep of the store with management.
