Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a frontline team member at USA TJ Maxx Store Ithaca NY. You will help deter loss, assist customers, and maintain store safety by wearing a Body Worn Camera and following the Emergency Response Guide.

You will work with store teams to ensure a positive shopping experience and uphold company policies and values. Ideal candidates bring strong communication, reliable decision making, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication is essential.
• Sound decision making skills are required.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Prioritizes and organizes workload and manages time effectively.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• 0-2 years of retail or security experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a proper and professional stance at the front of the store.
• Act as a visual deterrent to prevent loss/dishonesty.
• Wear a complete uniform including a Body Worn Camera.
• Greet customers with courtesy and respect and assist via the store radio.
• Observe and report suspicious behavior or incidents to LP or management.
• Perform closing safety sweeps with management.
