Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is hiring at our Dayton, OH location for a Loss Prevention-focused associate. You will act as a visual deterrent at the front of the store, wear a Body Worn Camera, and support store teams and management to safeguard customers and merchandise.

Key duties include greeting customers, responding to requests, observing for suspicious activity, and reporting incidents. Prior experience in retail or security is valued, with strong communication and decision-making skills

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Sound decision making abilities.
• Ability to take initiative and perform well independently.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• 0-2 years retail or security experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a proper and professional stance at the front of the store.
• Acts as a visual deterrent to prevent loss/dishonesty.
• Review and understand the Store Emergency Response Guide.
• Wear a complete Company approved uniform including a Body Worn Camera.
• Greet customers appropriately, demonstrate courtesy and respect.
• Establish and maintain a position at the front of the store or in a department.
• Respond to customer requests for assistance via store management or customer service radio.
• Observe and report suspicious behavior or incidents to LP or store management.
• Perform a closing safety sweep of the store with management.
• Adhere to all Company Policy and Procedure.
• Document incidents in AIIM Case Management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
