Job summary

Legends Global is seeking Front of House Staff to ensure smooth operation at major events. You will greet guests, assist with seating, and maintain a safe, enjoyable atmosphere at onsite venues such as Van Andel Arena, Devos Performance Hall, and Amway Stadium.

The role requires strong customer service, the ability to stay composed under pressure, and the stamina to work long events, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform essential duties with energy and enthusiasm.
• Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills are essential.
• Ability to read, understand English and communicate effectively.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and maneuver stairs.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests enthusiastically and provide event/venue information.
• Escort guests to sections/seats, often in low light.
• Enforce facility policies and monitor access points.
• Address guest questions, difficulties or complaints and escalate when needed.
• Identify emergencies and guide guests to safety with calm, clear instructions.
• Be flexible with hours including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

THE ROLE

Ensuring smooth operation of events, such as concerts, sporting events, and other public gatherings. Greeting and assisting guests, checking tickets and maintaining safe and enjoyable environment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Enthusiastically greet guests and provide event and venue information.
• Escort guests to their sections/seats, typically in low light settings.
• Enforce facility policies (i.e., no smoking, no re-entry) by monitoring stairs and sections.
• Proactively approach guests that may have a question, difficulty, or complaint.
• Creatively resolve guests' troubles up to the level where intervention by a supervisor is required.
• Identify and respond to emergencies by contacting a supervisor.
• Remain calm and direct guests to the designated area of safety in the event of an emergency.
• Hours of work include days, nights, weekends, and holidays, meeting all call times as set by management.
• Other duties and unexpected needs as assigned by management.

Education

Education and/or Experience

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school degree or equivalent is required.

Skills And Abilities

• Strong customer service skills.
• Experience in handling conflict in a friendly and effective manner.
• Ability to read and understand English.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time during events.
• Ability to maneuver frequent flights of stairs.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Location:

On Site Van Andel Arena, Devos Performance Hall, Devos Place, Acrisure Amphitheater, Amway Stadium

• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods at a time.
• Must be able to work outdoors.
