The Wonderful Company’s La Cocina is hiring a Front of House Associate in Shafter, CA. You will deliver high-quality beverages, assist customers, and support daily cafe operations to ensure a welcoming environment for employees and guests.

The role involves preparing espresso drinks, managing registers, supporting catering events, and helping maintain safety and cleanliness. A friendly personality and strong customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Valid Food Handler Card or ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within the first 60 days of employment.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods, bend, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required, as this position involves operating company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a friendly, enthusiastic attitude and create a welcoming environment.
• Take and prepare coffee shop orders accurately and efficiently.
• Operate registers and communicate daily specials and events to customers.
• Prepare daily specialty drinks including espresso beverages and fresh juices.
• Assist with prepping fresh fruit for Grab-and-Go area.
• Support onsite and offsite catering events including tracking, prep, delivery, setup, service, and teardown.
• Help FOH Supervisor track inventory and restock supplies.
• Follow proper food handling techniques and safety rules.
• Ensure FOH equipment is functioning and report repairs as needed.
• Maintain clean, sanitized service and storage areas.
• Communicate customer feedback to managers and suggest menu improvements.
