Job summary

The Wonderful Company is seeking a Front of House Associate for La Cocina in Shafter, CA. You will craft beverages, assist guests, and support daily cafe operations to ensure a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

The role requires a GED or high school diploma, 6 months to 1 year of experience in food service or hospitality, and a valid Food Handler Card. Shifts are Monday–Friday, with early hours and rotating duties within 4:30 AM–5:30 PM.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of customer service, barista, or hospitality experience preferred.
• GED or high school diploma required.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
• Valid Food Handler Card or ServSafe certification, or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of café equipment operation and maintenance.
• Conversational Spanish is desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a warm, welcoming attitude.
• Take and prepare coffee shop orders accurately.
• Operate registers and communicate daily specials to customers.
• Prepare daily specialty drinks and fresh beverages.
• Assist with prepping fresh fruit and supporting catering events.
• Track inventory and restock FOH supplies.
• Ensure safe, sanitary handling of foods and equipment.
• Deliver food and beverages using company vehicle when needed.
