Job summary

Tangled Roots Brewing Co. is seeking a Hospitality Manager to oversee frontline operations of our upscale brewpub in Washington, IL. Under the General Manager, you’ll lead servers/hosts and ensure a Genuine Hospitality Experience for every guest.

You’ll mentor staff, manage schedules, train for TRBC values, and drive process improvements while maintaining a clean, welcoming environment and coordinating events as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and at least 1+ year(s) experience in restaurant management.
• Preferred 2+ years of Hospitality Management Experience.
• Strong customer service focus with effective communication and time-management skills.
• Track record of process improvement, staff development, and efficient use of restaurant systems.
• ServSafe Manager, Food Handler, Allergen, and Basset certifications required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, Hire, Schedule, Train, and Manage the Server and Host Team Members.
• Lead and Mentor team members to understand and adhere to TRBC Culture and Values.
• Empower the team through growth opportunities within the Company.
• Perform administrative duties.
• Lead and direct all team members with an emphasis on ongoing training and development.
• Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics aligned with TRBC Values, which inspire team members to meet and exceed standards.
• Oversee and Maintain cleanliness of the Upscale Brewpub.
• Oversee private parties in the absence of the Event Manager.
• Ensures each guest is provided a Genuine Hospitality Experience and resolves any guest conflict in a timely manner.
• Follow TRBC Hospitality Manager Area of Responsibilities.

THE ROLE

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS

• A high school diploma and at least 1+ year(s) experience in restaurant management.
• Preferred 2 or more years of Hospitality Management Experience.

• A track record of process improvement, staff development, and efficient use of restaurant systems are also strongly relevant to the role.
• ServSafe Manager Food Handler, Allergen, and Basset certifications required within 30 days of hire.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS

• Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10 – 30 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for the entirety of your scheduled shift.
• Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently. Or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
