Job summary

BRU Burger Bar - South Bend is seeking a friendly Host to welcome guests, manage the waitlist, and seat guests efficiently. You will coordinate with servers, share menu insights, and handle reservation requests to ensure a smooth dining experience.

Ideal candidates exhibit excellent customer service, strong communication, and calm composure in busy periods. Training is offered, with opportunities to grow within the restaurant group.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Friendly and outgoing personality with a positive attitude.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
• Familiarity with reservation systems or software is a plus.
• Previous host/hostess experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and manage the waitlist and reservations to estimate wait times.
• Escort guests to tables and present menus while coordinating seating with servers.
• Provide guests with information on menu items, specials, and promotions.
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to maintain smooth guest flow and service.
• Keep the host stand and waiting area clean, organized, and well-stocked.
