Job summary

Nassau Diner in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to lead front-of-house operations and support the General Manager. This full-time role requires flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays, with a focus on guest satisfaction, staff development, and adherence to health and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have over two years of FOH restaurant experience, strong leadership, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, efficient, and welcoming dining

Qualifications

• More than two years in FOH restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform all duties of the Front Desk.
• Monitor daily reservations and make confirmation phone calls as appropriate.
• Record all deliveries (paper, produce etc) and any errors.
• Coach and support new and existing staff members.
• Handle customer reservations and requests over the phone.
• Maintain professionalism and set an example for all staff.
• Ensure diner is complying with health and safety regulations.
