Job summary

Nassau Diner in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team. This is a full-time role with multi-shift responsibilities including weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed.

The ideal candidate has over two years of front-of-house restaurant experience, leads by example, and supports the General Manager while ensuring top-notch guest service and compliance with health and safety standards.

• More than two years in FOH restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform all duties of the Front Desk
• Monitor and maintain store inventory pars
• Maintain a very clean work environment
• Monitor daily reservations and make confirmation phone calls as appropriate
• Record all deliveries (paper, produce etc) and any errors
• Coach and support new and existing staff members
• Handle customer reservations and requests over the phone
• Make sure all employees follow company policies and guidelines
• Maintain professionalism and set an example for all staff
• Ensure diner is complying with health and safety regulations
• Support General Manager as applicable
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• Bilingual in Spanish a plus, however, not required
