UVM Health Network - Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital is seeking a Clinical Assistant (CA) on Medical/Surgical and Progressive Care inpatient units. The CA works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to support patient care, take vital signs, collect specimens, and assist patients with daily living activities.

The role requires AHA-BLS certification within 6 months of hire; prior nurse aide experience or PLA competency training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent with ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology.
• Previous nurse aide experience or completed nurse aide training or PLA competency-based training.
• AHA-BLS is required within 6 months of hire or current non-AHA-BLS will be honored until renewal date.

Responsabilités

• Assist RN with patient care and service-oriented support.
• Perform tests and specimen collection as directed by RN.
• Serve as the unit's front door, providing customer service and clerical support.
