Job summary

BWXT, located in Barberton, Ohio, is seeking a Front Line Manager II – Machining & Assembly to lead multiple skilled trades teams across machining and assembly. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a multi-building environment.

The position primarily operates on the 2nd shift with potential cross-shift flexibility. A strong technical background in tolerancing and coordination with engineering and quality groups is essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five (5) years of supervisory machining/assembly in a unionized environment.
• Experience supervising union skilled trades in multiple buildings.
• Strong background in machining processes, tolerancing.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple skilled trades teams across machining and assembly.
• Plan and coordinate production across buildings and work centers.
• Resolve technical issues with engineering, manufacturing support and quality teams.
• Maintain safety, quality, and productivity across shifts.
• Input and analyze labor data in applicable systems.
