Job summary

Yoko Co. is seeking a Front-End Developer to craft clean, accessible interfaces on WordPress/Gutenberg projects. You’ll translate designs into production-ready code, focusing on performance, maintainability, and a great user experience.

You’ll collaborate with designers, PMs, and strategists, work in a remote, US-wide team, and enjoy a four-day flex week, generous holidays, and a profit-sharing program. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and Git is expected.

Qualifications

• Fluent with WordPress, building both traditional themes and Gutenberg blocks.
• Strong HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills with responsive, accessible output.
• Experience translating designs (Figma) into production-ready code.
• Familiarity with Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Build websites and features from design references using clean, maintainable code.
• Develop WordPress block themes with Gutenberg, templates, patterns, and theme.json.
• Collaborate with designers, PMs, and strategists to deliver projects.
• Write clean HTML/CSS/JS and implement React components when needed.
• Contribute to internal docs and stay current with WordPress trends.
