Job summary

Quotient, Inc. in the DC area is seeking a Mid-Level Web Developer (Front End) to build engaging digital experiences for Smithsonian projects, bridging UI and backend systems, with a focus on accessibility and performance.

You will work with UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and museum stakeholders in an Agile environment to deliver responsive, standards-compliant web apps that scale for a global audience.

Qualifications

• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and vanilla JavaScript with responsive design.
• Experience building accessible web apps (WCAG 2.1 AA, 508).
• Experience with modern JS framework (React, Vue, or Angular).
• Experience integrating front-end with CMS backends (Drupal preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive web applications and interactive features.
• Ensure accessibility compliance across all products.
• Integrate front-end with CMS platforms and consume RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate with UX/UI, backend engineers, and stakeholders in Agile sprints.
• Conduct code reviews, write unit tests, and troubleshoot cross-browser issues.
• Optimize performance for high-traffic Smithsonian digital properties.
