Job summary

Quotient, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Web Developer (Front End) to build engaging, accessible web experiences for a Smithsonian project. You will translate designs into responsive interfaces, connecting front-end code to CMS-backed data and RESTful APIs.

Collaborate with UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and museum stakeholders in an Agile environment, ensure performance and accessibility (Section 508 / WCAG 2.1 AA), and contribute to code reviews, testing, and cross-browser compatibility.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of professional front-end or full-stack web development experience.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and vanilla JavaScript.
• Experience with at least one modern JavaScript framework (React, Vue, or Angular).
• Experience building components for enterprise CMS environments (Drupal preferred).
• Strong accessibility knowledge (Section 508 / WCAG compliance) and testing with screen readers.
• Git version control proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive web applications and interactive features.
• Ensure accessibility compliance across all products.
• Integrate with CMS platforms (Drupal) and consume RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams.
• Conduct unit tests and troubleshoot cross-browser rendering issues.
• Optimize performance for high-traffic Smithsonian digital properties.
