Total Wine & More in the United States, California, South Lake Tahoe is seeking a friendly Cashier to deliver fast service, process transactions, verify IDs, promote the loyalty program, and bag products.

You may also serve as a sales associate or merchandiser. Training in wine, spirits and beer, adherence to laws, and safety standards are part of the role; a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Passion for best‑in‑class customer service and team player mindset.
• 1‑3 years of work experience.
• 1+ years of experience in a retail setting preferred.
• Familiarity with point‑of‑sale systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Process transactions accurately and efficiently; verify IDs and handle payments.
• Answer questions and promote loyalty program; bag products.
• Occasionally serve as sales associate or merchandiser/stock associate.
• Engage with customers to build relationships and inform about products/services.
• Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and compliance with alcohol sale laws.
• Complete cross‑functional duties and other assigned tasks.
