Giant Eagle, Inc. is seeking a Front End Team Leader in Ohio to oversee Front End, Cash Office, and Service Desk operations. You will lead, train and coach team members, manage budgets and inventories, and ensure compliance with regulations while driving customer satisfaction and profits.

The role requires retail leadership experience, a high school diploma, and a Food Safety certification. Competitive hourly pay plus health, vision, dental, retirement and paid time off benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Retail leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience as Peer Trainer or in-store champion preferred.
• Knowledge of department products.
• Satisfactory performance and discipline record.

Responsibilities

• Interview, select and train Team Members.
• Direct the work of Team Members.
• Appraise Team Members’ productivity and efficiency for promotions or changes in status.
• Handle Team Member issues including complaints.
• Discipline Team Members.
• Plan the work.
• Distribute or assign the work among Team Members.
• Provide for the safety and security of Team Members or the store.
• Manage the budget for your department or location.
• Manage inventory for your department or location; monitor compliance measures.
• Oversee the entire operation of the Front End and service levels at registers, SCOs, and service desk.
• Direct the customer flow to ensure service requirements are met.
• Manage inventories of front end racks and supplies to meet customers' needs and maximize profits.
• Audit cash controls to prevent losses.
• Maintain accurate department records and compliant documentation.
• Ensure government regulations (alcohol, tobacco, WIC, etc.) are followed.
