Job summary

Kroger Co. is seeking a Front-end Supervisor to lead a store-front department, ensuring outstanding customer experiences and safe, clean environments.

You will assist the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals, supervise front-end operations, and support day-to-day functions in alignment with company standards. Responsibilities include staffing, budgeting input, assisting with financial reports, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality guidelines.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Retail or Customer Service experience.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions about products.
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions with recommendations.
• Assist with monitoring and control of department supply expenses.
• Assist with managing cash control, sales and cash records for the store.
• Manage scheduling of Front-end associates for adequate department coverage.
• Assist in budgeting, profit and loss reviews, and related financial reporting.
• Assist in developing and executing department action plans and labor scheduling.
• Collaborate with Front-end staff to promote teamwork.
• Display a positive attitude and stay aligned with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers.
• Report safety risks and incidents and participate in preventive maintenance.
