Job summary

Sound Decisions is hiring a Software Engineer to own the front-end experience in a fully remote, FinTech SaaS environment. This role is heavily front-end weighted, with occasional backend exposure, reporting to the front-end lead and shaping the front-end practice as the first dedicated hire.

You will work with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Vite, collaborating with a small team, and using AI tools to enhance development while maintaining code quality.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience with depth in JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Vite experience is a plus.
• Ability to work autonomously in a small, fast-moving company.

Responsibilities

• Own front-end features end-to-end from UI through shipping using JS/TS, React, and Vite.
• Collaborate with a small backend-leaning team to integrate front-end work with core services.
• Utilize AI coding tools in daily workflow while validating outputs.
• Adapt to remote-first setup with strong ownership of work.
