Job summary

SOUND DECISIONS is seeking a Software Engineer to own the front-end experience in a fully remote FinTech SaaS setting. This role is heavily front-end weighted, focusing on UI layers while collaborating with a backend-leaning team to ensure seamless integration with core services.

You will work with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Vite, with autonomy to influence how front-end practices grow. A strong emphasis on thoughtful AI tool use and self-verification is expected.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Experience with front-end UI development and tooling (Vite) desired.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Comfortable working autonomously in a small, fast-moving company.

Responsibilities

• Own front-end features end to end - from UI/UX implementation through shipping - using JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and React (Vite as the build tool).
• Collaborate with a small backend-leaning engineering team to integrate front-end work with core product services.
• Use AI development tools as part of workflow and verify outputs yourself.
• Work in a 100% remote environment with limited travel for in-person gatherings.
