Job summary

Hannaford Supermarkets in Waterville, ME, is seeking a Front End Associate to handle cashiering, service desk duties, and customer service at the store front. You will follow policies, stay well-groomed, and support daily operations while assisting customers and keeping the front end running smoothly.

The role requires 18+ years, the ability to learn multiple tasks, and adherence to safety and security standards. Training packets for cashier/service desk roles are provided.

Responsibilities

• Observe and follow all company policies and procedures.
• Maintain neat, well-groomed appearance per policy.
• Assign fixed activities to front end and service desk/kiosk associates during idle periods.
• Assist in special projects as assigned by supervision.
• Support safety standards; report needed repairs and keep area hazard-free.
• Observe security standards; report abnormal behavior.
• Secure front-end change drawer when unattended; protect assets.
• Maintain housekeeping and sanitation per store policy and regulations.
• Perform cashier and/or bagging functions as required.
• Perform service desk/kiosk duties and, if trained, bookkeeper functions.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
