Receive and verify grocery vendor deliveries efficiently and accurately. Perform various functions in Produce, Point-of-Sale, and Receiving that contribute to the store’s financial success. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate teamwork to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant shopping environment.
  • Provide friendly and efficient customer service, demonstrating sincerity, patience, and respect; thank customers for their business.
  • Greet customers genuinely; assist with products, perform price checks, load/unload heavy items, and help retrieve out-of-reach items.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, responding to questions and requests promptly.
  • Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, box cutters, forklifts, mops, and brooms according to company guidelines.
  • Ensure security and proper operation of the receiving area; control vendor traffic and monitor for abnormal actions.
  • Receive merchandise, verify quality, count, and condition against invoices; log discrepancies and process credits.
  • Report issues affecting store or vendor integrity.
  • Deliver products to designated storage areas, handle products properly to minimize waste, and manage damaged or expired items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all areas.
  • Assist in emergency response and safety hazard mitigation.
  • Check and maintain equipment performance; report issues to management.
  • Be knowledgeable about all department functions.
  • Notify management of operational issues or disciplinary needs.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and safety regulations and guidelines, and report unsafe conditions.
  • Perform physical tasks such as sitting, standing, lifting up to 100 lbs, and working in varying temperatures, with or without reasonable accommodations.
